Glimpse of the 6th International Tooling Summit 2022!

TAGMA organized an International Tooling Summit on the 21st -22nd of September, one of India’s largest conferences for Die and Mould industry. The theme of the event was ‘Indian Tooling Industry: Poised for Growth’. The topics included opportunities, localization, technology trends, emerging sectors, PLI schemes, challenges, and the policy framework. The speakers and visitors from different genres of the manufacturing sector attended the International Tooling Summit. There were multiple Panels Discussions and numerous Technical Sessions directed to industry outlook, technology trends, opportunities, and challenges.

The panelist for first panel discussion were Mr. Vivek Nanivdekar, Executive Director FIBRO India, Mr. M. M. Singh, Director & CEO, International Automobile Centre of Excellence and Executive Advisor, Maruti Suzuki India, Mr. Ashim Sharma – Senior Partner & Group Head Business Performance Improvement Consulting at Nomura Research Institute, Mr. D Ravi – Managing Director, CM Precision Product & MD, Clastek Engineering.  The panelist discussed on a very interesting topic: What stops us from becoming tool factory of the world?

The discussion focused on the current state of the Indian tooling industry, its policy framework, global comparisons, skill development, growth drivers, and challenges for Indian toolmakers.
